Germantown, Wisconsin – June 8, 2009 – L.T. Hampel Corp. announces that they will be expanding operations in spite of hard economic times.
While many firms are scaling back and eliminating jobs, Hampel Corp. is adding up to 88,500 square feet of manufacturing space, which will house a new thermoforming machine, hiring up-to ten new workers, and restarting third shift in order to meet increased manufacturing demands.
Hampel Corp., a thermoforming plastic manufacturer of OEM parts, and manufacturer and marketer of their own proprietary product lines, recently announced that they have embarked on a strategic partnership with the world’s leading provider of portable restrooms, Satellite Industries – Minneapolis, MN. Effective June 1st, Satellite Industries will take over the ownership, operation, sales and marketing of the Hampel branded portable restroom products. In addition, Hampel Corp. has been selected by Satellite Industries as its global manufacturing partner for the production of its thermoformed portable restroom requirements.
Hampel Corp. and Satellite Industries will leverage their combined manufacturing, marketing and customer service expertise to continue to provide the highest quality portable restrooms available. Satellite and Hampel will both benefit from this purchase according to Lance Hampel, CEO/Owner of Hampel. “The sale of our restroom product line is very exciting because we will continue to manufacture the Global parts for Satellite, plus add Satellite thermoformed parts to our production facility. This allows Hampel to increase plastic forming production at a time when most companies are struggling.”
“This acquisition is part of our overall business strategy during this challenging economy,” Todd Hilde, CEO/Owner of Satellite Industries. “Companies like ours are choosing to consolidate in order to remain strong in a weak economy.”
In order to handle the additional manufacturing capacity, Hampel Corp. will need to expand their current manufacturing facility. Hampel will be meeting with the Germantown Development Committee on June 8th to seek approval for an expansion up-to 88,500 square feet. This additional space will house a new thermoforming machine and additional warehouse space.
